❓❓❓Starting options - opinions wanted!!❓❓❓We're building up to the next event and having re-read all the feedback from last year, one thing we are considering is a rolling start between 7-9.30am for the walkers and then slower/middle runners who want an early start. There would be a gap to make sure everyone was clear of the woods and a mass start at 10am for everyone else. To be in for a prize you would need to be part of the 10am start. The main benefits would be:- a significant reduction of the bottleneck through the woods- catering for the many, many people that request to start early/switch to a walker each year.- those starting early being able to 'spectate' the event as the fastest runners in the 10am start run past!- more people finishing in time to see the prizegivingThere would be strict opening times for each checkpoint as we can't ask marshals to be there for an extra 3 hours, so for example someone running around 10km in an hour would need to leave after 9am to avoid getting to the Longstone Moor checkpoint before it opened.Other events have run the start this way succesfully and from the feedback we know that a few people from last year are in favour, but we'd love to canvas wider opinion. Facebook won't let me create a poll, so please use emojis to react to this post to vote!❤️ - I love this idea!👍 - I'd be up for trying this🥲- I'm not sure this would work😡 - I hate this ideaAny further comments very welcome, we're currently having an open discussion so all views will be considered. ...
