For those of you that follow our Facebook page, this won’t be new news, but next year’s Gallop will be running on Saturday March 11th 2017.
We’ll be opening entries for next year’s race at 8:30pm on Wednesday 16th November using the SI Entries system.
We know that this is always busy entry process and we have considered using a ballot system to avoid the mad rush for places, but have decided to stick with the existing process but ensure everyone knows about this launch date.
Time to dust off those running shoes!
If anyone has any questions please contact us on the info at grindlefordgallop dot co dot uk address.
We’re looking forward to seeing you all in March already.
This year’s winning t-shirt design was created by Joe Gilbert of Class 3. Well done Joe, this is another cracking design.
Another wonderful design from the School, hope you’ve all got your orders in!
See you next weekend.
As you may all know already we run a competition every year at Grindleford Primary School where we ask the children to design the logo for the Gallop that will adorn all t-shirts and window stickers.
This year’s winner of the Gallop logo design was the talented Daniel Harby from year 5. Well done Daniel, we think it’s great!
As you may/should know entry will be going live for next year’s race at 10pm tonight, 14th November.
We mentioned in the communications that the race sells out quickly, so good luck with your entry.
Any questions anyone has following entry please drop us a note at email@example.com.
Grindleford Gallop Organisers
We recently held the annual competition at Grindleford Primary School to design this years logo.
Well the votes were cast and we’re delighted to announce that this year’s winner was Hazel Platts of Class 2, well done Hazel it’s a cracking design!
You can see the design below, but all you lucky people who ordered a t-shirt will get to take the design home with you.
Hope the training’s going well!

Quick update on the local weather.
The weather has been grim of late, with heavy rain and snow over the tops today. The ground under foot is utterly sodden, with anything that might have been muddy previously, is currently knee deep!
If it stays like this we’d ask you to think about your footwear as normal road shoe may struggle in the mud. Also, ensuring that everyone has full FRA kit will be essential.
At the end of the day, the mud and weather is all part of the challenge and one of the reasons why we love off-road/fell running.
Hello all, welcome to the new Grindleford Gallop site. Please excuse us as we get this all up and running!
