The Gallop sold out amazingly fast so thank-you for your support. Due to a technicality with not being able to hold credit card details for more than 3 months we will be opening a waiting list on December 11th.

New for 2022/23 we are excited to announce that the Gallop is one of the local trail running events taking part in the Rab and Outside Winter Race Series. This means some excellent prizes from Rab and Outside and more yummy tray bakes from the Outside cafe!

What a day!! Congratulations to everyone who completed the course on Saturday in the fantastic March sunshine – for most of the day…

The results are now available at https://www.racetek-live.co.uk/website/public_results/1261/complete_results/. The results take a short while to load after you click the link so please be patient.

Congratulations to Jack as fastest male at 2:22:32 (new new course record!) and Florence as fastest female at 3:02:10 (10 minutes quicker than last year).

As always many thanks to the volunteers who make the event happen. In addition to those that you see on the day – such as those at the start/finish and marshals en route – there’s also the kitchen staff, cake bakers, soup ingredient chopper uppers (including some school pupils), sweepers, route markers and parking marshals.

Only 1 week to go until the 2022 Gallop!

The trails are nice and muddy thanks to all the recent rain. Long range forecast is looking settled (famous last words!).

Race information will be emailed out Monday evening. Entry transfer deadline is Monday midnight.
